MGS geothermal supplies: The ‘out of building’ part of geothermal (ground source heat) installation - a specialist range to enable contractors, particularly within the drilling industry, to take full advantage of this growing market.

MGS's range of geothermal pipes are manufactured from polyethylene (PE100 to DIN 8074/5 standard) for heat recovery through enclosed vertical or horizontal pipe systems. Coils and probes are factory assembled and pressure-tested.
A range of accessories such as spacers, pipe connectors, weights, electro-fusion and compression fittings and manifolds is also available.
MGS has extensive experience of geothermal products through its German subsidiary, MGS Europe, which has been finding increasing interest in these products and there is every indication the UK will follow suit.

Closed Loops

The most common type of geothermal installation is a closed loop system. The heat exchanger, a loop of PE100+ pipe filled with antifreeze is installed vertically or horizontally.

Open Loops

While the majority of geothermal installations use a closed loop system, another option is an open loop system with deep water well designs being the most common and most cost-effective.

Grouts

Thermally enhanced grouts and sands are used to maximise heat recovery from ground source heat loops.

Grouting Equipment

The GeoLoop range of grout pumps, tremie and loop reeling equipment provides fast and efficient installation of vertical closed loops.

Pipework

A complete range of PE100 pipe in straight lengths or coils plus all necessary fittings and fabrications to complete the header and collection system.
