PUMPED KNOCK-OUT POT (PKOP)
Knock-out pots with permanently installed leachate pump.

Comprises a chamber into which the landfill gas expands and the velocity reduces. The resulting condensate then drains into the reservoir through a central tube which contains a permanently installed leachate pump (GeoPump). As the level of the condensate rises the GeoPump will automatically start pumping until the reservoir is empty.
The design prevents any ingress of oxygen and allows the GeoPump to be removed for maintenance without having the stop the gas extraction system.
The length of the unit will depend on the maximum suction on the system.
