Vent Columns

A horizontal plastic gas drainage system needs to be connected to a vertical venting pipe to allow high level venting. As plastic pipe is not strong enough to be self-supporting, a steel vent column is required which is placed over a small length of the plastic vertical pipe.

They also protect the vertical vent pipe from damage or vandalism and incorporate a removable heavy duty 'bird cage' to prevent objects such as birds and litter becoming tangled within the rotating cowl.

Manufactured from mild or galvanised steel and in several diameters and lengths, monitoring points allow gas sampling to be carried out. The standard colour is Brunswick green but various other colours are available.
