TerraPit

Lightweight alternative to traditional concrete catchpits for use in the rail track drainage system.

A modular system made from GRP, it is quick and easy to install and significantly cuts overall costs.

Construction:

Glass fibre reinforced modular construction with smooth inner faces and patented ribbed outer surface.

Loadings:

Suitable for installation directly under track and adjacent to sleepers with heavy duty mainline loadings.

Design Life:

Minimum 30 years.

Joints:

Open location joints for use with collector drains.

Cover:

All sections will accept an approved steel or GRP cover. Location holes provided in top flange for locking if required.

Compatibility:

TerraPit� is not designed for use with concrete rings or existing bases.

Fire Retardancy:

NFR version: Above ground applications.
LS version: Confined space applications.

Pipe Connections:

End connections will accept pipes up to 355mm OD using TerraPit� EC connectors. Inlet positioned 25mm higher than outlet. Side wall connections can be made on site using SW adaptor kits.

Installation:

Components must be installed in accordance with current TerraPit� handling and installation instructions available on request.
