Specialist covers designed for project

3 October 2019

These steel security covers were specially designed and manufactured for a water level monitoring project in Ireland using telemetry.

They provide a secure housing and internal cradle for the Eijkelkamp GDT-S Prime modem, whilst allowing the antenna to sit externally to transmit the Diver datalogger’s water level data. The units are made of galvanized steel with a shroud protecting the padlock for extra security protection but also allowing easy access for the engineers.

“We consider these to be vandal-resistant. The industry refers to this type of cover as ‘vandal proof’ but obviously there is always the possibility that a disc cutter (or a digger!) is going to cause damage. We are confident our security measures provide a good deterrent,” added MGS Technical Sales Engineer Richard Houghton.
