Crowhurst Embankment Stabilisation

17 April 2019

Work identified by Network Rail off-track engineers at Waterloo to repair and stabilise Crowhurst Embankment.

Water pressure trapped within the embankment was relieved by blind drilling at random intervals and angles up under the 4ft on both sides. They then drilled right through the embankment, pulling in a 160mm pipe to run the tie rods through tying the embankment together for a long-term solution.
