Friction welded rods

Friction-welded rods have friction welded tool joints which are specially hardened and made of the highest quality steel. This means that different steel qualities can be chosen for the mid-body section and the tool joints. A high-quality alloy steel is used for the tool joints, increasing the strength of the threads where it is required, combined with a thinner tubular material in between. This makes the rods lighter and easier to handle.

An additional surface hardening can be applied to the tool joints for increased wear resistance if required.

Suitable for rotary and Down the Hole Hammer drilling (DTHH).
