MGS expands QED product range with the GEM PRO landfill gas analyser

8 October 2025

Geotechnical and ground source heat specialists, MGS, have expanded their QED Environmental Systems product range with the new GEM PRO landfill gas analyser.

Under a distribution partnership established in 2024, MGS distribute QED’s liquid management pumps and gas analysers to their UK audience.

The recent addition of the QED GEM PRO marks a significant expansion of MGS’s offering to their customers, now offering an intelligent, flexible and field-ready modular gas analyser.

“We’re proud to now be supplying the new QED GEM PRO – the next generation in landfill and biogas analysis. This advanced analyser has been designed to be completely configurable, scalable and user-maintainable. We look forward to supporting our customer base with QED’s most innovative device yet!” states Richard Houghton, Technical Sales Engineer at MGS.

As its most unique feature, the GEM PRO has user-changeable modules, each with individual calibration certificates, that allows operators to replace or add gas modules in-house or in the field.

Designed for ease of use, the GEM PRO also has a high-definition touchscreen, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity, all day battery life and professional GAMSoft software – making collecting and uploading data seamless.

“The GEM PRO sets a new standard in landfill gas monitoring by giving operators the accuracy, reliability and configuration they need out in the field – without costly downtime or the need to return equipment back to base” adds Richard.

QED are premier manufacturers of monitoring and remediation equipment, precision engineered pumping solutions and gas instrumentation. With operations spanning multiple continents, QED serves environmental markets worldwide and continues to pursue growth into new regions.

Established in 1988, MGS are a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialist quality products for use in ground investigation, water well and geothermal drilling applications, railway drainage, landfill gas extraction and more.

“Given our prominent position in landfill and biogas industries, we’re always seeking new ways to improve our service and provide even greater technology to our customers. By enhancing our product range with the GEM PRO, we aim to help operators improve safety, compliance, and efficiency across their operations” concludes Richard.
