TerraDrain 17, 250mm, was installed as the main 6ft collector drain and 250mm TerraLine 17 was used as the carrier cross drain to alleviate the retained water in the sub layer and to move it to the London end out fall.

Work identified by Network Rail off-track engineers at Waterloo to repair and stabilise Crowhurst Embankment.

Water pressure trapped within the embankment was relieved by blind drilling at random intervals and angles up under the 4ft on both sides. They then drilled right through the embankment, pulling in a 160mm pipe to run the tie rods through tying the embankment together for a long-term solution.

The modelling of the S&C at Botley Station to incorporate a new track layouts and drainage system required 350m of 6ft collector drainage together with 24m of carrier drain UTX, 7 in line GRP  TerraPits and a 90 degree TerraPit. The installation ran towards Southampton from the platform turning to cross the track (right) under the S&C into the siding 10ft running to the out fall.

From order to completion of delivers was 4 weeks.
