MGS join Association for Decentralised Energy and Heat Pump Association

5 January 2026

Geotechnical and ground source heat specialists, MGS, have become members of two key industry bodies – the Association for Decentralised Energy (ADE) and Heat Pump Association (HPA).

ADE are the UK’s leading trade body for low-carbon energy systems. They help businesses and consumers control their energy use, cut waste and meet net zero goals.

HPA are the UK’s leading authority on the use and benefits of heat pump technology and play a vital role in shaping legislation, technical standards and market development for the heat pump industry.

Specialist supplier of geothermal products for ground source heat pump installations, MGS, have joined these associations to reinforce their commitment to the UK’s net zero targets.

“Through our work in geothermal and ground source heat extraction, decarbonisation has become a big part of what we do. We strongly align with ADE’s and HPA’s mission to promote low-carbon energy and heat pumps. Raising awareness of these systems and their environmental benefits is critical to accelerating the transition to net zero” says Anthony Stupak, Managing Director of MGS.

As a member of ADE, MGS will help drive the decarbonisation of heat, promoting a more efficient, low-carbon energy system through heat networks, combined heat & power and ground source heat pumps.

As a HPA member, MGS will contribute technical expertise from their experience in geothermal and ground engineering to help promote heat pump technology, influencing government policies, sharing technical standards and educating their customers and installers.

Through collaboration with other members, MGS will continue to support the wider adoption of decentralised energy and heat pumps that play a critical role in the UK’s decarbonisation strategy.

“Heat pumps are an important step forward in the journey to net zero and the performance of these systems relies heavily on the quality of the products behind them. Being part of ADE and HPA means we can provide installers, businesses and consumers with technical expertise and support more ground source heat pump installations with our specialist products” adds Anthony.

Established in 1988, MGS are a leading manufacturer and supplier of specialist quality products for use in ground investigation, water well and geothermal drilling applications, railway drainage, landfill gas extraction and more.

As a specialist supplier of geothermal products for ground source heat pump installations, MGS have worked on many decarbonisation projects across the UK to help businesses like Comberton Village College and The National Trust’s Kingston Lacy stately home cut their energy consumption.

“Given our increasing role in ground source heat pump installations, we’re proud to take another step forward in the decarbonisation process by joining ADE and HPA. We look forward to working with other members and supporting the continued growth and adoption of heat pump technology across the UK” concludes Anthony.
